Hydraulic Brake Fluid
Used in automotive hydraulic systems. Hydraulic brake fluid is a type of hydraulic fluid used in hydraulic brake and clutch systems in vehicles. Instructions for Use:
We need access to the oil drain plug to change the brake fluid and bleed air from the system. These oil drain plugs are old-style grease fittings. If you can see them upon visual inspection, you do not need to remove the wheel. However, if you cannot see them or reach them easily, you must remove the wheel.
Lift your car with a jack and place a jack stand in a suitable place under the car for safety and secure the vehicle in the air. Next, locate the oil drain location or bleed screws on each wheel caliper or brake cylinder, but do not unscrew them.
Open the car hood and locate the master brake location. Above the master brake center, you will see the brake fluid reservoir with a yellow cap. Open the reservoir cap and draw out the old brake fluid using a vacuum pump, then put new brake fluid into the reservoir. (Note: If you do not have a vacuum pump, you will add new oil to the brake fluid reservoir while removing the old fluid from the wheels).
